MAINTAINING ECOVADIS GOLD FOR THE ZUMTOBEL GROUP

Richard Garrett

The Zumtobel Group has once again achieved recognition with an EcoVadis Gold Medal, affirming its commitment to sustainability. Despite facing stricter criteria and a more comprehensive rating scale, the company maintained its Gold status, placing it in the top one percent when compared to other companies in the industry.

“The evaluation by an independent and globally operating rating agency is of great relevance for our company. We see that we have taken the right and successful path with our sustainability activities. Our sustainability team and all departments involved are making a great contribution to the accomplishment of our sustainability goals, which not only benefits the environment, but also our customers and partners.”

— Alfred Felder, CEO of the Zumtobel Group

With a significant improvement in the overall score from 71 to 75 points, the Zumtobel Group has made notable progress. The company particularly excelled in the area of sustainable procurement, where it now ranks among the top one percent. In the previous evaluation conducted in November 2021, the Zumtobel Group was already among the top ten percent in the industry comparison.

“We are proud to have been awarded the Gold status and to have improved our total score, especially given the fact that the scoring scale was raised earlier this year. We are pleased that the implemented measures in the area of sustainable procurement in particular have proved successful: This is, thanks to our great team, the area in which we have made the biggest leap in this year's rating.”

— Mario Wintschnig, CSR Manager at the Zumtobel Group
